As current president of the International Society of Perinatal Obstetricians (ISPO) I am pleased to invite you to the upcoming ISPO Scientific Meeting on March 3rd - 4th, 2O12 in Graz, Austria which is accredited with credits of the Austrian Medical Chamber (DFP) and the European CME credits by the EACCME (European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education).
The International Society of Perinatal Obstetricians (ISPO) was formed in 1988 as an international interest group of the American Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM). Currently there are 300 members from more than 40 countries, who meet annually at the SMFM meeting.
However, the ISPO decided to extend its activities by organizing scientific meetings outside of the US. Meetings so far have been held in Athens, Dublin and Adelaide.
In the year 2012 this Scientific Meeting is scheduled in March in Graz.
The major topics of the meeting are:
> Cancer in Pregnancy
> Intrauterine Interventions
> Obesity and Pregnancy
> Pregnancy, Delivery and the Pelvic Floor
> Reproductive Health – a global issue
Renowned international and local experts will take part in this scientific congress and share their knowledge and experience.

Graz is also known as one of the Cultural Capitals of Europe and provides interesting aspects in the fields of culture, architecture and regional life style. Since the meeting is in March 2012 and Graz is located just south of the Austrian Alps, winter sports' opportunities, which are available within two hours driving distance from Graz include downhill and cross-country skiing as well as ice skating and lot of more winter fun.
